About Founder
Darin Kyle was born and raised in Ottawa Ontario. He is a Canadian grown talent that has been heavily involved in the dance industry since the age of 12, accumulating training in Tap, Jazz, Ballet and Hip Hop. Darin has also achieved a Bachelors Degree with honours in Classical Civilization at Carleton University and Dean’s List honours from Algonquin College.
Darin has twice represented Canada at the World Tap Dance Championships held annually in Germany. In 2001, Darin placed 1st both as a member of the Team Formation, and as the First man in Canada, ever to don the mantle of World Solo Tap Dance Champion. Currently, Darin offers STOMP instruction covering the Ontario Ministry of Education’s Fine Arts curriculum requirements. He also works with public speaking groups such as the ESTEEM Team and with both Ottawa School Boards as an educational assistant in mainstream and high needs classrooms.
Darin Kyle performs with Odyssey Showcase as the lead Tap Dancer and Tap Choreographer. Odyssey Showcase has performed most recently at the Governor General's "History Awards" with its Feature Presentation "A Musical Taste of Our Canadian Heritage."Darin has performed Internationally and has headlined events such as the "Skate Canada Figure Skating Awards", the "World Figure Skating Championship" opening ceremonies, and the Stage For Aids.
